Pediatric Health Choice
Pediatric Health Choice (PHC) [www.pediatrichealthchoice.com] is an integrated,
multidisciplinary delivery model, bundling a comprehensive array of pediatric services in a
non-hospital setting such as day health centers and the child’s home.
Challenge
PHC faced several IT hurdles. With limited budget, four separate locations with no IT staff and high employee turnover, they
did not have the in-house expertise to provide reliable infrastructure and support for business critical applications.
Solution
Reporting directly to the president, MicroTech is responsible for all IT functions. As a first step, MicroTech instituted
a corporate standard for desktop and server platforms and designed and implemented a WAN for remote access. These initiatives immediately increased
support responsiveness and allowed the four offices to share critical data. Today, MicroTech continues to provide remote server and desktop
support, hardware and software reseller services and overall IT project management.
